Supermind is a mindfulness-based wellness program.

Supermind is a holistic integrative wellness-based approach to mental wellbeing based on the principle of self-directed neuroplasticity. Its key objective is to train the subconscious mind to default to feelings of safety and love, countering negative emotions and survival instincts. This method aims to free individuals from the mental burdens that prevent them from fully enjoying life.

Central to Supermind’s philosophy is the belief in shifting from a fear-driven existence to one rooted in love. This transformation is seen as essential for unlocking human potential and improving overall quality of life by freeing mental energy previously consumed by overactive sympathetic nervous system responses. The Supermind method is designed to be accessible to a wide audience, reflecting its mission to elevate the human experience globally.

Why Now?

Historically, psychology and neuroscience have existed as largely siloed disciplines—one focused on the mind and its thoughts, the other on the brain and its physiology. Because few practitioners are trained to operate fluently across both domains, the integration of these fields into a cohesive, applied model has remained largely unexplored—until now.

At Supermind, we have discovered that brainwave data can serve as an objective bridge between psychology and neuroscience, offering a unified framework to connect subjective mental states with measurable neurological patterns.

History of Supermind

Supermind was born from a simple but profound question: Why do so many people continue to struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, and burnout despite decades of advances in mental health care?

Over the past two decades, our team and collaborators have explored the intersection of neuroscience, nervous system regulation, meditation, coaching, and neurofeedback to better understand the relationship between brain activity and mental well-being. Through thousands of client interactions and an extensive database of brainwave assessments, patterns began to emerge that linked measurable brainwave signatures with subjective experiences such as stress, mood, focus, resilience, and emotional regulation.

This work led to the development of the Supermind Method—a data-informed approach designed to help individuals train their nervous systems, improve mental fitness, and create lasting changes in how they think, feel, and perform. By combining brainwave analytics, neurofeedback, coaching, meditation, and personalized protocols, Supermind helps clients address underlying patterns that contribute to emotional distress and suboptimal performance.

The foundation of the method was refined through years of real-world application, including more than 30,000 brainwave assessments and tens of thousands of hours working directly with individuals seeking greater mental wellness and performance. These experiences helped shape a framework for measuring and tracking mental fitness using objective brainwave data alongside subjective measures of well-being.

Methodology

Supermind’s methodology is an integration of psycho-neuro-physiological processes with cutting-edge qEEG (quantified electroencephalography) technology. This integrative approach encompasses psychological practices such as coaching melded to mindfulness-based stress reduction practices (MBSR) and used in conjunction with neurofeedback (also known as EEG biofeedback and brainwave training.) This fusion allows for a precise modulation of nervous system function, targeting the realignment of imbalanced brainwave patterns.

Central to Supermind’s approach is the concept of self-directed neuroplasticity, which facilitates the intentional creation and reinforcement of neural pathways associated with optimal mental wellbeing. This is initiated through a meticulous qEEG assessment, Supermind’s proprietary Brainwave Map, wherein various states of brain activity are monitored and analyzed to derive personalized self improvement programs based on EEG brainwave data and the individual’s neural signature characterized through the pattern of brainwaves found across different brain regions in relation to one another.

The assessment includes measuring the average voltage and amplitude of frequency bands, providing a detailed mapping of the brain’s activity. The Brainwave Map provides a landscape snapshot of the individual’s neural functioning required to benchmark progress as the participant goes through the company’s brain training program.

Brainwave Map results inform the educational curriculum delivered to the participant through coaching prior to each sit-down neurofeedback session. Personalization are based on brainwave data, modifying items such as custom prompts and refined mindfulness or brainwave training exercises, depending on the individual’s goals.

Following educational coaching sessions, the individual goes through an MBSR-informed neurofeedback session during which visual feedback instructs the individual on how to control their brain waves on-screen and audio feedback rewards brainwave improvements. The combined use of visual and auditory guidance allows for a threefold series of effects to take place:

  1. The reduction of nervous system activity associated sympathetic nervous systems responses (“fight or flight”) through the downregulation of delta, theta, and beta brainwave frequencies, relationally, in key brain regions.
  2. The enhancement of positive emotions and emotional sense of stability through the upregulation of alpha brainwave frequencies, relationally, in key brain regions.
  3. The enhancement of neural symmetry bilaterally across the brain’s hemispheres, akin to global brainwave frequency harmony and coherence.

Throughout this process, Supermind’s biofeedback component plays a critical role. Unlike traditional neurofeedback, which often focuses on normalizing brainwave patterns, Supermind emphasizes the establishment of optimal brainwave states. This is achieved through relational neurofeedback, where the interplay between thought patterns and brain activity is closely monitored and adjusted. This method is based on the principle that specific mental exercises, when combined with neurofeedback, can lead to significant improvements in brain function via the expedited neuroplastic remodeling of synaptic connections. This particular conception and application of neurofeedback underlies the superior results that the Supermind protocol offers.

As individuals complete Supermind’s training programs, they become capable of managing their cognitive and emotional states with greater ease, developing greater conscious control over this aspect of the brain’s automatic functioning. When paired with personalized coaching, neurofeedback, and MBSR, this phenomenon can allow for the identification and mending of root causes of undesirable symptoms of mental wellbeing at speeds superseding commonly observed healing times in other modalities.

Research & Regulatory Roadmap

Supermind is actively preparing clinical research in partnership with leading academic institutions, including the California Institute of Stress and Resilience. A pilot study using a clinically appropriate derivative of our wellness program is focused on treatment of depression and is planned in collaboration with a healthcare group operating 60 locations across Florida. This pilot will lay the groundwork for a larger pivotal study supporting our pursuit of FDA clearance as a hardware-enabled digital therapeutic.

Until regulatory approval is secured, Supermind remains positioned as a wellness-oriented program. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions, but instead to support mental and emotional well-being through evidence-informed, non-invasive mind-body training.

“In my previous role as Chief Clinician Well-Being Officer, I collaborated with Supermind to help clinicians experiencing signs of stress and burnout. I was amazed to see the improvements in the volunteers from this pilot, which greatly surpassed standard interventions! I also got to experience Supermind myself. Having the dedicated time to help my own brain health and patterns has been transformative. I have been able to feel more clear, focused, and better able to forge my path ahead

“The work that you’re doing is extremely important. Most of us spend a lot of time exercising, but we don’t necessarily give our brains the same amount of attention. I think that the Supermind process has tremendous opportunity to help people with problems that they have been unable to deal with using common medications and cognitive behavioral therapy.”
