Brainwave Mind Map

The Brainwave Map

Your brainwave map is a personalized snapshot of your unique neural patterns. Using non-invasive EEG sensors, we measure over 200 data points to help you understand how your brain allocates energy, responds to stress, and maintains internal balance. These insights can illuminate patterns that may influence thoughts, feelings, and behaviors — many of which operate below conscious awareness.

What The Brainwave Map Shows

Your map reveals differences in activity across brain regions — such as left–right asymmetries or elevated activity in certain frequency bands like delta or theta. These patterns may reflect how your brain has adapted over time and can offer meaningful clues about subconscious tendencies, learned responses, or internal states.

A Wellness-Based Approach

Brainwave mapping is not diagnostic and is not designed to assess or treat medical or psychiatric conditions. These maps are offered as informational inputs for individuals exploring a holistic, mindfulness-based approach to self-development and neuroplasticity.

Insights From 30,000+ Brainwave Scans

Over the past decade, our team has correlated more than 30,000 brainwave measurements with reflective coaching conversations. Through this work, we have developed a set of internal theories and models that help interpret how specific brainwave indicators may relate to wellbeing, performance, and personal growth.

These models are exploratory, evolving, and not medically or scientifically validated. They reflect observations developed outside traditional academic and clinical pathways. We openly welcome scientific inquiry, independent validation, and collaboration with researchers, practitioners, and institutions interested in studying these patterns more rigorously, and we are happy to share our theories and observational models for that purpose.

A Research-Informed Philosophy

Our interpretations draw from neuroscience, psychology, and contemplative traditions, combined with extensive real-world observation. While not every concept is reflected in current scientific literature, we are committed to advancing understanding responsibly — and to supporting individuals who are aligned with a wellness-first perspective.

Themes the Brainwave Map Can Illuminate

Our EEG measurements can offer informational insights related to patterns that may influence your inner experience. These themes are not diagnoses, but areas clients often find meaningful to explore.

Stress responses and emotional tension

Mood and natural enjoyment of life

Sleep

Physical expressions of anxiety

Safety, vigilance, or reactivity

Anger, frustration, or residual emotional charge

Limiting beliefs formed earlier in life

Mental recovery

Sensitivity and intuition

These themes are not diagnoses. They are reflections of how your brain organizes itself moment-to-moment.

Brain Regions That We Measure

We assess brainwave activity across six primary regions: the frontal, temporal, parietal, occipital, central, and midline areas. Each region plays a different functional role, and brainwave patterns in these areas can offer clues about attention, emotional processing, mental effort, sensory integration, and overall balance.

Brainwave Frequency Bands

Brainwaves are patterns of electrical activity that occur in the brain when groups of neurons fire together to send signals to other groups of neurons. These patterns are important for all aspects of human function, including thoughts, emotions, and bodily processes. They are also associated with different states of consciousness, such as the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. Each brainwave has a different purpose.

These are the primary types of brainwaves. We teach you how to improve and optimize your brainwaves.

Benchmarking Your Brainwaves to Optimal

Your report highlights the largest areas of difference between your patterns and our internal model of “optimal ranges” developed over 10 years of practical experience. These comparisons can be deeply empowering, providing objective data to help you understand why you may feel the way you do — and where meaningful change is possible.

This data becomes a kind of mental GPS, offering personalized direction for your growth journey.

Your Ability to Influence Your Brainwaves

In our experience, people are capable of creating measurable shifts in their brainwave patterns through awareness, intention, and guided practice. Some individuals experience rapid changes; others progress more gradually. What matters is not speed, but engagement and openness to the process.

Our invitation is simple:

You too can influence your brainwave patterns and support the creation of a more steady, grounded inner baseline.

This principle — known as self-directed neuroplasticity — reflects your innate capacity to reshape internal patterns through focused attention and consistent practice.

Survival Brainwaves
Delta

When delta waves are more than 30% of your brain’s total, this can cause symptoms of anxiety

Happiness Brainwaves
Alpha

When alpha waves are less than 7% of your brain’s total, this can cause symptoms of depression

Note: Through 15 years of coaching, the correlation of 30,000 brainwave scans with 3,000 personal interviews, and the brainwave scans of advanced meditators and elite performers — we have developed a theory around how to measure and achieve optimal brainwave levels for peak wellbeing and performance. They are not intended to be medically diagnostic. We offer them as inputs for those interested in a holistic mindfulness based lifestyle.

The Subconscious Mind

We define the conscious mind as patterns reflected in gamma and beta activity, and the subconscious mind as processes reflected in alpha, theta, and delta patterns.

In our internal data, subconscious activity generally represents about 75% of total brainwave activity.

The subconscious mind stores learned associations, emotional memories, and survival responses.

Many of these patterns were formed when we were younger, and while they once served a purpose, they may no longer reflect the reality of our present lives.

Part of the Supermind program involves learning how to identify, release, and reorganize subconscious patterns that may no longer serve you.

Patterns Related to The Past

Like rings on a tree, our past experiences can leave subtle patterns in the mind and body. Through our work with thousands of brainwave maps, we’ve observed that certain EEG patterns may correlate with unresolved emotional experiences, especially those involving safety, connection, or self-worth.

In everyday language, people often associate the word “Trauma” (“big T”) with major events like accidents or severe distress. At Supermind, we use a broader and more accessible definition of “little t” trauma — the smaller, cumulative moments that can shape how we feel, relate, and react.

We use the term “little t” trauma to describe experiences that made us question our emotional safety or worthiness, and that may still influence our inner world today. Examples might include:

  1. Being criticized or rejected by a parent
  2. Feeling unseen during a moment of emotional need
  3. Feeling unwanted or excluded in social situations

These experiences are not diagnoses or clinical interpretations; they are simply human moments that can shape our perceptions of safety, belonging, and self-worth. The Brainwave Map can help bring compassionate awareness to these patterns so they can be explored with intention and care.
